We are a fractional AI/ML + statistical engineering practice for manufacturing. We bridge GenAI and MLOps with DOE, SPC, reliability, and JSL automation. Jason Tyler Cole, the founder and principal, has spent over 20 years moving between the line, the lab, and the data stack. He started as a production supervisor in steel-toe boots, became a Principal R&D Engineer, and later led data science and applied AI teams across 60+ global plants. He holds patent EP3231006B1, is JMP Expert Certified, contributed to the STIPS certification exam as an invited industry expert, and has shipped everything from micron-level metrology systems to enterprise RAG assistants adopted by 200+ users.

He is also an AuDHD scientist: high pattern-recognition, low tolerance for unnecessary ceremony, and a work style built around clarity, momentum, and honest feedback. That shows up in how Platypus runs projects—fast signal, visible progress, and systems your team can actually operate.
